My Résumé

My artistic journey has been fascinating and full of experimentation with different techniques, styles and media.  My work has changed and evolved during that process, but now I have reached a defining moment in my journey where I have found the art I love to paint.

My formative years were spent in Manchester, England where I was fortunate to study art under Harold Riley, one of England’s top artists.  Newly married, I moved to South Africa with my husband in 1971.  I worked for many years as an architectural draughtswoman in Somerset West and, after raising my family, I took up painting again in the mid-1990s.

My work hangs in many private collections around the world.  I am also represented in various galleries in South Africa and have my own studio behind my art gallery, Bright Street Gallery, in Somerset West.

I have been a member of the South African Society of Artists since 2005 and from 2010 to 2014 I chaired the Western Cape Artists’ Society.
